Jeff ‘Skunk’ Williams Interview
So Skunk i know your always gettin round the place where are you right now….?
Freezing my ass off in Melbourne. I’m down here to help build a skatepark that I designed. It should open in early November.
I hear your heading over to Korea soon, whats that about…?
I’m getting flown over there to judge a contest. I originally tried to get a spot skating in the contest, but they were full, so they offered me a judging position instead. Stoked! All expenses paid trip to sit on my ass and watch. HA!
So I know you did a little stint in the Bay, what brought you out this way….?
My two best mates moved into a house together and they set up the Billabong vert ramp there. I was living in Brisbane at the time, and when I had to move out of my house, I came and stayed at “The Ranch” for about 2 months before moving back to Sydney.
Whats one thing you remember from the Bay…
Lots of rad times at “The Ranch”…. There are lots of rad people in the Bay and the barbies after a big session were a highlight. Also, I always liked catching the ferry over to Coochiemudlo Island and going swimming. It’s so beautiful there! It’s like being in the Whitsundays.
I remember we use to sit around an watch Baraka, you got that one on DVD now…?
Yeah mate! I do. Anyone that has never seen it should do themselves a favour and watch it. It was filmed in about 50 countries. There’s no storyline, no talking, no actors, just alot of powerful and thought provoking imagery. It’s a really amazing film.
I know when we lived together you had your fair share of reptiles, what you got now…?
I’ve only got the one snake now… the one
we saved from being killed when he was young. He’s around 9ft long now and as thick as your arm. I have a 4 year old Water Dragon too which I love. I also have an axolotl and 2 chickens.
Lastly, did you ever find that snake that crawled out your garage a few yrs back…?
Nah. he’s probably cruising around suburban sydney snacking on cats and small dogs… He’d be pretty bloody big now. Hehe..
